Allwyn is a lottery-led entertainment company with a mission to make a positive difference in the communities we serve: creating opportunities, empowering people, and supporting meaningful change. The F1® Allwyn Global Community Award brings that mission to the world stage, celebrating initiatives that deliver real social impact across Formula 1®. Each winning initiative receives global recognition - and a €100,000 donation from Allwyn to help them go further, faster.

Here’s everything you need to know about how it works, who can take part, and what the award offers.

What is the F1® Allwyn Global Community Award?

The award is a new international initiative designed to recognise and elevate community projects making a difference through the world of Formula 1®. It could be an education programme giving young people opportunities, a sustainability drive reducing environmental impact, or a health and wellbeing campaign improving lives. What matters is impact. The winning initiative isn’t just celebrated - it’s given the tools to grow further:

• €100,000 funding from Allwyn

• Global recognition across Allwyn and Formula 1® channels

• A trackside celebration at the hosting Grand Prix

Who can be nominated?

Any community-focused initiative based in a Formula 1® race host country - as long as there’s a clear link to the F1 ecosystem and strong impact on local communities. To ensure the award reaches initiatives that are both impactful and sustainable, eligibility focuses on:

Organisation type – Non-profits, charities, NGOs, and grassroots organisations with a strong track record.

Location – Projects must be active in a country hosting a Formula 1® Grand Prix.

Community focus – Initiatives should focus on one or more key areas: Empowerment and inclusion; Education and opportunity; Health and wellbeing; Sustainability and innovation - all with a clear benefit to the communities they serve.

Connection to F1® – A clear tie to the Formula 1® ecosystem, including collaboration with local promoters.

Impact and scalability – Evidence of meaningful results so far, and potential to grow with support.

Transparency and collaboration - Shortlisted organisations should be ready to share progress updates and financial reports — and be open to working with Allwyn, Formula 1®, or local partners to build capacity and amplify their story.

Please note, nominations are not open to the public. Only official Formula 1® race promoters can put initiatives forward.

Can projects apply directly?

No - initiatives cannot self-nominate. The process begins with an official Formula 1® race promoter identifying eligible projects within their host country. If you think your initiative could be a fit, the best first step is to connect with your local promoter.

How are winners selected?

Entries are evaluated on:

• Positive impact and relevance to local needs

• Connection to the Formula 1® ecosystem

• Innovation, sustainability and potential to grow

• Proven success or compelling plans

Shortlisted projects are evaluated by a review panel, with the ultimate winner revealed at their respective Grand Prix weekend.

What can the funding be used for?

The €100,000 grant must go towards strengthening the initiative’s work — including programme expansion, outreach, materials, staffing, or infrastructure. Winners will be asked to provide impact reports after implementation.

Which races are part of the 2025 award?

For the 2025 season, official nominations will come through race promoters in:

• Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix

• Formula 1 Aramco United States Grand Prix (Austin)

• Formula 1 Gran Premio de la Ciudad de México

• Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix

Why does this award matter?

The F1® Allwyn Global Community Award isn’t just about recognising good work - it’s about helping it grow. By connecting local initiatives to the global Formula 1® stage, the award gives communities visibility, funding, and a platform that can inspire change worldwide.
